[ Ann ] Ann was born in Pocatello, Idaho but immigrated to Los Angeles, California with her family when she was six months old. Ann moved with her husband, Tim, to Cottage Grove Lake during the 1980's.

Related Education

Ann has always loved drawing and painting and started taking art classes while still in school and has been painting ever since. Ann has worked mostly in oils but has recently taken up watercolors, pastels, gouache, and collage. Although she paints many subject matters such as still life and landscapes, Ann has recently been concentrating in portrait painting, especially members of her family. As Ann states, "I LOVE PEOPLE AND LOVE painting them". Fortunately, I have lots of relatives willing to pose for me, but UNWILLING to pay.

While living in Los Angeles, Ann studied with world reknown artists Joyce Pike and Dottie Knight. After moving to Oregon, she has taken a workshop with Tom Browning and classes from Bob Niems, Patrick Dooley.

Organizations and Exhibitions

Ann is a member of the Cottage Grove Art Guild and the Emerald Art Guild in Springfield. She has her work displayed in the Emerald Art Gallery and with exhibits sponsored by the Cottage Grove Art Guild including the Main Street Art Gallery and the Cottage Grove Hospital.

Ann won Honorable Mention in the Mayors Show in Springfield and has sold paintings both in California and Oregon.
